Oneil, the resident manager, is the redeeming feature of Hillcrest. He goes out of his way to welcome you, to ensure that you are comfortable and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. He also takes responsibility for hotel cleanliness.
The Hillcrest is located on Sears Hill Road south of central downtown Nassau in a residential community that has become tired and delapitated.

I recently stayed at Humes House at Hillcrest for a week-long vacation. The onsite host, O'neil, was incredibly helpful and friendly, acting as a personal concierge and providing valuable recommendations for tours, dining, and nightlife. The location was ideal, within walking distance of downtown and the cruise ship port. The hostel had a welcoming atmosphere, with guests from diverse cultures and a sense of community. The facilities, including the kitchen and patio deck, were well-maintained and the option of AC or natural breezy air was a nice touch. it felt like staying with family.
I highly recommend this hotel.

For the price, Hillcrest exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and cozy, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff at Hillcrest were friendly and were pretty good too make my stay enjoyable. From giving me insider tips on popular spots to even driving me to dinner and the airport, their hospitality was excellent.
The breakfast option could have been better, perhaps with more variety.

I recently stayed at Hillcrest in Nassau for a few days and had a wonderful experience. Paul, the host, was amazing and really took care of each guest. The atmosphere was great and the location was perfect, just a 15-minute walk to both Atlantis and downtown. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean with hot showers. The breakfast provided was tasty, and there was a fully equipped kitchen and a nearby supermarket for convenience. The owner, who also lived in the hostel, created a friendly and home-like environment. a fantastic place to stay!
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at a hostel in Nassau and had an amazing experience. the host, Paul, was exceptional and took great care of all the guests. He was accommodating and even allowed us to switch dorms. the atmosphere at the hostel was fantastic, and we felt comfortable and welcomed. the location was convenient for our activities in Atlantis and Downtown. the kitchen at the hostel was well-equipped and organized, making it easy for us to prepare meals. While the price was a bit high for a hostel, it was still the most affordable option available. we had an excellent stay and would definitely come back. Cons: No issues at all 👍.

The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped and organized, with everything I needed. the rules were clearly visible for everyone to follow. Despite the slightly higher price for a hostel, it was still the most affordable option in the market. the only downside was that the mattress could have been more comfortable. all the rooms had AC units, although they were on a timer and sometimes seemed to be off. the fans provided were useful as well. Despite the occasional inconsiderate guest, I was fortunate to be part of a great group that got along well.
It was an excellent experience and I would definitely return. Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The location of this accommodation is not ideal, as there are limited nearby attractions and it's quite a distance from downtown. there are a few positives about Hillcrest Nassau. the Deluxe queen room, known as Da Conch Room, offers a spacious layout with convenient amenities like a fridge and microwave. the AC in the room works exceptionally well and the WiFi connection is surprisingly fast. These features contribute to a comfortable stay for couples looking for a relaxing environment.
The lounge area lacks proper decoration and could use some improvements to enhance its ambiance.
